About Us
Authors in Wonderland was founded by author Annalee Adams, a writer who has always been drawn to storytelling. Annalee spent much of her childhood immersed in fictional worlds, and her all-time favourite book is Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, a story that perfectly reflects her creative mindset and ultimately inspired the name and spirit of Authors in Wonderland.
She lives in England with her husband, two children, and what she fondly refers to as a zoo’s worth of animals. Authors in Wonderland is very much a family effort, with her husband and two children playing an active role in helping at the event.
Authors in Wonderland was created as a welcoming and immersive space where authors, readers, and vendors can connect and celebrate books. Readers can purchase signed books, special editions, and bookish merchandise, as well as take part in fun activities, games, and competitions throughout the event.
Giving back is a core value of Authors in Wonderland. Each event raises money for charity, with the chosen cause selected by our authors, vendors, and readers. These charities are close to our hearts and reflect the values of the community we have built together. The 2025 event raised nearly £800 for the National Autistic Society. For 2026, we are proudly raising money for MIND, supporting mental health awareness and services across the UK.
